The sculptures I create represent humanity. Male and female at once, they have muscular quality mixed with sensual curves.

There is a strong sense of body, of texture, a feeling of movement within the stillness of the material. It is a dance, a moment captured like a photograph, a moment that includes much pain, a search, and knowledge.

The sculptures are mainly made of non-firing clay that is coated with liquid pewter. Metal wire and ready-made screws also find their way in.
The work is monochromatic, a clean feel of raw material.

Sinking into the material, I love the feel...I become one with it. My thumbs get a great workout. It is a quiet moment for me, working from the inside out; a meditative instinct mode.

The sculptures demand that you feel their sensuality. Just close your eyes and wonder on these bodies…
